France is celebrating. And the «city of light» will once again have world attention for the XXXIII Olympic Games in París.
The Stade de France, located in the city of Saint-Denise will now be «The Olympic Stadium», in addition, the Seine River will be, for the first time, a public stage for the opening ceremony.
The venue for the next Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2028 will be the cosmopolitan city of Los Angeles, California. The Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles will be the setting for the opening ceremony and SoFi Stadium for the closing ceremony.
This city will host the XXXIV Olympic Games for the third time. The first time was in 1932, then in 1984. It will also organize the Paralympic Games for the first time.
The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum was built by Donald and John Parkinson from 1921 to 1923. It was originally conceived as a building to honor United States war veterans. The Olympic cauldron is located at the entrance of the property.
Currently, the Los Angeles Olympic venue has capacity for nearly 80,000 people and is also a stage for different sports and entertainment activities. Last year, recreational activities were held to celebrate its first 100 years.
